Hello there,
 

The last few months have been very busy and our hands were full of work.
As I informed you in our Newsletter no 2, we participated in the International CF Congress, which took place in Stockholm, Sweden.


In this Conference we had the opportunity to meet with collogues from many associations around the world including Italy, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Holland, America, and of course Denmark, Sweden and Norway amongst others.
Many of them are very interested in coming to our Center, and we are looking forward to seeing them with us here.

 

At the Conference we presented our latest results of researches performed during the last season including the most important discovery regarding the most problematic issue, i.e. "Cross Infection" and the results are, and I quote: "Three weeks exposure in a group setting in health camps at the CF Center at the Dead Sea area, does not enhance Pseudomonas auroginosa transmission among CF patients"
Although the results are still preliminary,  the trend is definitely significant.

I wish to thank all those who took part in this research, as without your help, we could not reach this important result.

The Hod Hotel is presently undergoing renovation to the gust rooms.
All rooms have been refurbished with luxurious modern decor and equipped with minibar, interactive color TV with Internet and Sony playstation, hairdryer,
2 personal safe and electric kettle.
The renovations will be completed at the beginning of October 2000 and the new luxurious facilities will await us at the beginning of the CF season on
October 31st. 2000.

For our German visitors I am excited to inform that one of the most famous German Tourist Company, is considering to handle and organize the transfer of German CF patients to our Center as from the coming season.

This company has established it's most professional & prestigious reputation at the Dead Sea over the last 2 Decade, and is one of the largest & major Tour Agents in the region. The company holds signed-contracts with all the sick funds all over Germany.

More information regarding this company will be announced within a short while.
