The CF Center Dead Sea, was first founded in November 1995, under the honorable patronage of the late first lady of Germany Mrs. Christiane Herzog.

Since then, over 200 CF patients from Europe and other countries have visited our Center, many returning every year, and have enjoyed the many benefits that the Dead Sea has to offer.

Over the years, the Center, has initiated and performed 4 medical researches, according to worldwide medical academic criteria. These researches were widely published at medical conventions worldwide and include:
a. The effect of the Dead Sea on lung function.
b. Prevention of cross-infection due to the special conditions at the Center.
c. Positive long-term effects.
d. Quality of life perception.

The results of these researches show a substantial improvement in each of the fields above. In light of the above, the Center serves as both a treatment and research center, which gives the Center a definite superiority of the highest standards in an academic background. Overall subjective patients evaluation

The "CF Season" lasts 5 months, starting from November 1st. until March 31st. and is divided into three sub divisions: patients with No Pseudomonas, patients who are carriers of Pseudomonas and patients who are carriers of Cepacia. The duration of each "camp" is 21 nights (3 weeks) and is open for individuals as well as groups of 7-8 patients. (for more information see Next Season)

The "camp" program includes:
14 Individual Breathing Physiotherapy treatments, over a 3-week period.
14 Conducted sport group activities.
3 medical examinations, including 2 lung function tests, performed by the medical staff headed by Prof. A. Tal.
Summarizing medical report by Prof. A. Tal.
Nutrition consultation.
Controlled hiking.
Bike riding.
High-caloric protein food.
Participation in various physical activities.
Four-star resort hotel accommodation and facilities + airport transfer.
Lots of free time, away from home.
Varied tours including visits to historic sites and holy places such as Jerusalem, Massada , Ein Gedi or Eilat.
